Manuscript Correction Deadline Policy

The editorial team of the International Journal of Care Scholars (IJCS) has observed that some manuscripts remain in the correction phase for extended periods, causing delays in processing new submissions and disrupting the journal’s workflow. To address these issues, IJCS is implementing a Manuscript Correction Deadline Policy. This policy aims to prevent prolonged correction phases, ensure timely resubmission of corrected manuscripts, and facilitate the efficient publication of high-quality research. It also seeks to improve workflow efficiency and ensure fairness to all authors.

  1. Correction Period

Authors are given 30 days from the date of notification to resubmit their manuscript with the required corrections.

  1. Extension Request

Authors may request additional time for corrections by submitting a formal request to the editor via email. The request must include:

  • A valid justification for the delay.
  • An expected date for resubmission.

Approval of an extension is at the discretion of the editorial team, and any granted extension will not exceed a maximum of 3 months from the date of notification.

  1. Non-Compliance
  • No Corrections Submitted: If the required corrections are not submitted within the stipulated time, and no extension request is made, the manuscript will be rejected without further consideration.
  • Failure to Meet Extended Deadline: If an extension request is approved but the manuscript is not resubmitted within the 3-month limit, the manuscript will also be rejected without further consideration.

In both cases, this decision is final and will not be reconsidered, even as a new submission. Manuscripts rejected under these circumstances will result in a ban on future submissions from the authors for a period of one year.
