Data Sharing Policy

The International Journal of Care Scholars (IJCS) support the sharing of the complete datasets that support the findings presented in your article. This will facilitates reuse, minimizes research redundancy and waste, and fosters collaboration. Enhanced transparency increase the confidence in research outcomes by enabling their independent validation. These advantages contribute to a more robust foundation of evidence and a healthier society. Authors submitting their research articles to the International Journal of Care Scholars (IJCS) are urged to include research data as a supplementary file during submission or deposit it in an appropriate data repository, citing and linking to this dataset within their article. If this isn't feasible, authors are encouraged to provide a rationale for why the research data cannot be shared. Sharing your data not only ensures recognition for your efforts but also renders your data accessible and discoverable to your peers.

The International Journal of Care Scholars (IJCS) policies on data sharing are as follows:

  • The data produced from your research, which underpins your article, must be openly and publicly accessible upon publication. In cases where openly sharing the data is not feasible or viable due to confidentiality or sensitivity concerns, it should be made available through a controlled access repository.
  • Expeditious availability of the data produced by your research are recommended to support your article, wherever legally and ethically feasible
  • For clinical trials, we mandate the provision of data upon reasonable request.
  • Trial registration for clinical trials must include a data sharing plan. Any modifications to this plan should be documented in the Data Availability Statement and reflected in the registry record, in accordance with ICMJE recommendations.
