About the Journal

The International Journal of Care Scholars (IJCS) is the official journal of the Kulliyyah (Faculty) of Nursing, International Islamic University Malaysia. IJCS will publish original research articles and case reports as well as review articles in all related areas on the care of individual, family and community. Our expertise and interest, including the topics related to nursing care, medical care, collaborative care, transdisciplinary care, patient and healthcare provider education.  It also covers management and ethics issues related to individual, family and community care. This is an open access journal, which implies that the user or his/her institution can access all of the content for free. Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles for any lawful purpose without seeking permission from the publisher or author. IJCS is indexed in Google Scholar and MyJurnal.

We are pleased to announce a call for papers for the upcoming issue of our journal, Volume 7 (Issue 2) which expected to be published on 31 July 2024. We invite researchers, scholars, and practitioners to submit their original article, review article, letters to editors, perspective paper, case study and editorial for publication. This is an excellent opportunity to share your findings and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in your field. Submit your papers by 15 June 2024for a chance to be featured in our next issue. The International Journal of Care Scholars (IJCS) is a scholarly, peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary academic journal dedicated to advancing the knowledge and practice in the field of healthcare across a range of contexts. IJCS serves as vital platform for scholars, practitioners and educators to disseminate high-quality research, innovation and insights across various aspect of care and related fields, by focusing nursing care, medical care and collaborative care in addressing the complex and dynamic nature of caregiving.

IJCS platform was started in January 2018 and it is the is the official journal of the Kulliyyah (Faculty) of Nursing, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). IJCS accepted and published a wide range of articles including editorial, original research articles, case reports, review articles, perspective articles and letter to editor. The journal will be published with three issues per year at the end of March, July and November. Our areas of expertise and interest includes topics related to nursing care, medical care, collaborative care, transdisciplinary care, patient and healthcare provider education. In addition, IJCS also covers management and ethics issues pertaining to individual, family and community care.

Each submitted manuscript undergoes a double-blind review process to ensure the journal’s mission of fostering the sharing of knowledge and best practices among scholars, practitioners and educators in the field of care by dissemination high-quality research. By providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and research findings, IJCS aims to contribute to the improvement of effectiveness, efficiency and equity of healthcare delivery at individual, family and community levels. The vision of IJCS is to be a leading source of scholarly information and a catalyst for innovation in the field of care. Through its publication, the journal seeks to promote excellence in care practices and to support the development of care professionals who are well-equipped to meet the challenges of rapidly evolving healthcare environment.

The IJCS is intended for a broad and diverse audience that includes healthcare professionals and practitioners such as nurses, doctor, allied health professionals and care providers; educators and trainers; researcher and scholars in conducting research in nursing, medicine and allied health sciences; and healthcare administrators and policymakers that are involved in the management and regulation of healthcare services. By addressing a diverse range of topics and incorporating a wides variety of perspectives, the IJCS strives to enhance the quality of care provided across all settings and to support the professional development of those dedicated to the field of care.
