Abstract

The Holy Qurʾan is the complete and absolute divine book revealed to Muḥammad, the last Prophet (PBUH). There is no doubt regarding its authenticity, divinity, or reliability. Allah openly challenged humanity to bring forth a verse paralleled to it. They have failed to respond to this challenge. However, some orientalists today argue that the Holy Qurʾan has significant grammatical and linguistic errors. Although many Islamic scholars have addressed the topic in various ways, further in-depth research on this subject is highly needed. This paper adopts the method of literature critiques, emphasizing descriptive, historical, analytical, and comparative, dialectic methods to explore the bases of suspicion of the oriental scholars. The paper argues that the claims of orientalists are baseless, which proves that they are not profound in the Qurʾanic language. In this paper one of the Qurʾanic verses which orientalists claimed to have violated grammatical rules was chosen.  (Surah Ta-ha verse: 63). The article will throw light on the purity of this verse with the help of Arabic grammar and ancient Arabic poems. It is hoped and believed that the knowledge seekers and the common people would benefit from this research.
