The Role of Tayeb Berghout Comprehensive Sunnan Perspective in Achieving Cognitive Integration between Al-Sunnan al-Maqasidia al-Kouliya and Partial Sunnan

Abstract

يهدف البحث إلى الكشف عن سبل التكامل بين السنن المقاصدية الكلية الشاملة، والسنن الجزئية المتنافرة، لتحقيق نهضة حضارية متوازنة، وذلك بتبني منهجية علمية استقرائية، تنطلق من جمع الجزئيات لبلوغ القوانين الكلية، وباستخدام آليات منطقية تساعد في ضبط المفاهيم وتحديد التعريفات حتى تتضح مسارات البحث ومآلاته. وقد توصل من خلال ذلك إلى نتائج كشف فيها عن سبب توقف الاستمداد من الخط المعرفي والمنهجي للتجربة النبوية عند النخبة الحاكمة التي تولت زمام السلطة بعد نهاية الخلافة الراشدة، ولجأت إلى الاستمداد من الناتج المعرفي للحضارات المتاخمة، الهندية والفارسية شرقا واليونانية الرومانية غربا، فتجلت له أسباب  انحراف مسار الأمة عن المنهجية العلمية السننية التي أرسى قواعدها محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم بهداية الوحي، وانجذب فكرها نحو التجزيئية اللامتناهية في جميع المستويات والحقول المعرفية، وقد كشفت هذه النتائج عن خطورة هذه التجزيئية التي قادت الأمة إلى إهدار طاقتها، وتسطيح وتبلُّد عقلها، وابتعدت عن غايتها وهدفها، وتوصل البحث إلى إبراز أهمية "منظور السننية الشاملة" للطيب برغوث، الذي أدرك بما أوتي من حس سنني أن هناك ضرورة للم شمل هذه الجزئيات والتفاصيل السننية، وردها إلى أطرها السننية المقاصدية الكلية الشاملة، لأن الجزئيات السننية منفردة قد "تكون سببا قويا للاضطراب الفكري والثقافي والنفسي والسلوكي والاجتماعي والضعف الحضاري للأمة الإسلامية

The article aims to clarify the ways for integrating the general patterns (Sunnan of Allah) and the partial specific patterns in the pursuit of building balanced civilisation.  This is accomplished through using an inductive method that begins with examining the specific detailed patterns that help derive general patterns of civilisation. It also uses logical mechanisms to examine the concepts and provide correct definitions.  The article explained that the cause behind the discontinuity of the Prophet's Sunnan-based approaches to building civilisation -among the ruling Muslim elites who came after the Rightly Guided Caliphate- was   their tendency to imitate the intellectual contributions of adjacent civilizations, including Indian and Persian in the East and Greco-Roman in the West instead of maintaining the prophetic approaches. The rationale for the Ummah's divergence from the scientific Sunnan methodology, whose principles were instituted during the Prophet's era under divine guidance, became evident during development of Islamic society then. The contemplation was directed towards perpetual fragmentation across all dimensions and knowledge domains. The article showed that the departure from Sunnan-based approaches led to fragmentation, which caused the ummah lose its energy and intellectual dynamism and deviate from its sunnan (patterns) driven goals and objectives. The article emphasized the significance of Al-Tayeb Berghout's "comprehensive Sunnan (patterns) -based approach," which acknowledges the necessity of linking the Sunnan-based approach and reintegrating it into their study of the phenomenon of building civilisation and renaissance of the ummah. Consequently, the focus only on partial specific Sunnan (patterns) without linking them to the bigger framework of comprehensive patterns may significantly contribute to the intellectual, cultural, psychological, behavioral, and social disarray, as well as the civilizational weakening of the Islamic Ummah.
