 In his poem, “Bahjat Al-Dunya” from his book “Min 'Itir al-Yasamin,” Moayad Hijazi achieved poetic intensity by employing heightened language through verbal associations. This paper examines the signification of his words through a descriptive analytical approach. It explores the poetic language of Hijazi and how it enhances the aesthetic sense of the poem by focusing on its poetic techniques such as repetition of key words and key styles to create an intense poem that is highly musical. All these serve to create a well-structured text with accurate signification for its symbolism and connotations. Consequently, the poem is rich with poetic semantic deviation and heightened language that help the reader become fully engaged with the text and feel its beauty.
