Abstract

This article deals with a methodological issue that is still new in Qur’anic studies. It discusses the approaches that are based on vocabulary units as a means for understanding the Qur’an and analyzing its discourse wholly or partially. Thus it critically traces the rise and historical development of these approaches. In order to develop and refine the usage of vocabulary as a basis for analyzing the Qur’anic discourse, the article also attempts to make some theoretical and methodological suggestions on how to deal with the question at hand by combing the traditional methods of Muslim scholarship with the insights of modern linguistics and discourse anaylsis in such a way as to uncover the possibilities that vocabulary-based analysis may provide for the understanding of the Qur’an and the future development of Qur'anic studies.

يتناول هذا البحث موضوعاً منهجيًّا ما يزال جديداً في الدراسات القرآنية،  إذ يتناول المناهج التي اعتمدت على المفردة القرآنية لفهم القرآن وتحليل خطابه أو جزء منه، ويتابع تاريخ ظهورها، والتطورات التاريخية التي قطعتها برؤية نقدية، ويحاول في الوقت ذاته تقديم اقتراحات نظرية ومنهجية تقوم على المزاوجة بين المناهج التراثية للعلماء المسلميتن وما توصلت إليه اللسانيات الحديثة ونظريات تحليل الخطاب، وذلك لتطوير استخدام المفردة أداةً لتحليل الخطاب القرآني، والكشف عن آفاق البحث في هذا المجال، سعيًا للكشف عن الإمكانات التي يمكن أن يتيحها التحليل المعتمد على المفردة القرآنية في فهم القرآن وتطوير الدراسات القرآنية في المستقبل.
