(The Effect of The Hanafi School of Iraq on “Addition to The Text” According to al-Mutakallimin)

الملخص

Abstract

This study deals with explanation of the effect of the Hanafi School of Iraq on ‎jurisprudences of the Mutakallimīn (scholars of the discipline of Kalām) through changes in their views on issue of abrogation (Naskh) related to the problem of  ‎text addition.‎ In this regard the paper will discuss the stand of the Iraqi Ḥanafi school and the Mutakkallimūn in the issue of text addition in order to verify the influence of the Iraqi Ḥanfi school in the treatment of the Mutallimūn of this issue and the change in their views.  The study aims to explain the development of the Uṣūl Al-Fiqh through the elaboration of the the role of the Iraqi Ḥanafi school therein. It also aims at explaining their influences on the issue of text addition. In this regard, the study would discuss the foundations of the influence and relate them to the views of both schools to the issue and comparing them. The study is deductive, descriptive and analytical in its approaches. Among the most significant findings are that the ‎Ḥanafi school had indeed influenced the school of the Mutakallimīn fundamentally. Consequently this had influenced the stand of most ofthe  Mutakalimūn who viewed that the addition to the text was a type of an abrogation ‎‎(Naskh).
