Abstract

The research raises the problem of religiosity in the light of the material progress of man, who tends to abandon and abandon religions and at the same time search for spiritual values that guarantee his dignity. As the material civilization has produced spiritual problems in the main, so that the contemporary man is searching for a valuable religion that guarantees his dignity and guarantees his material progress at the same time, with the aim of explaining what religions, including the Islamic religion, do for its sponsorship of science and its call for the establishment of crafts in order to control both civility and adherence to religion. The research raises the issues of urbanization and the ability to adhere to religion in the light of material, industrial and technical progress, and to clarify the relationship of religions to human society and aspects of the relationship of religion to civilization. The research concluded that the human being, as God’s successor in the universe, then building any civilization on earth means building human civilization in order to befit the description of humanity, and limiting the material aspect in civilization leads to the establishment of a civilization of matter only or the material part of man in which the part is absent It is the spirit of human civilization and its ability to achieve this is what the Islamic religion calls for, whose call was the basis of reform in the earth, which means construction, progress and civilization.
