يقدم هذا المقال رؤية لموقع الفن والهوية السودانية في المشروع الفكري لحسن الترابي، وذلك من خلال قراءة تأويلية لقضايا الفن والهوية السودانية في فكره وفاقًا مع منهج التفسير التوحيدي الذي بين الترابي معالمه في مقدمة تفسيره للقرآن الكريم الذي أكمل فيه تفسير ثلثي المصحف. وبعبارة أخرى، تهدف هذه القراءة التأويلية إلى فهم أطروحات الترابي حول الفن والهوية السودانية من خلال النظر في المواقف المنهجية الكلية التي تبناها وأفصح عنها في غالب مؤلفاته. فقد أعرب الترابي عن رأيه في العلاقة بين الفن والدين من حيث أن كلاًّ منهما ذو قدرة رمزية يمكن أن تعبر عن العلاقة بين الإنسان المحدود والوجود المتعالي والغيب المطلق في صورة مختلفة وعبر أنماط متباينة. أما الهوية السودانية فقد تناولها الترابي من خلال النظر في أواليات دخول الإسلام إلى السودان ومن خلال التبصر بحركة تفاعل الإسلام واللغة العربية مع المكونات اللغوية والثقافية المحلية. وبذلك سعى إلى بيان معنى تلك الهوية وتشكلها في إطار عالمية الإسلام التي هي مبدأ كلي من مبادئ منهجية التوحيدي. وتستند هذه القراءة إلى قاعدة أساسية وهي ضرورة ربط المسائل الجزئية التي تناولها الترابي في مناسبات مختلفة من حيث اندراجها في نسق فكري كلي جامع يستند إلى جملة من المسلمات المعرفية والمنهجية التي بنى عليها أطروحاته وطور في ضوئها أفكاره ومواقفه بشأن الكثير من القضايا.

Abstract

This essay presents a view of the place of art and Sudanese identity in Hasan al-Turabi’s intellectual project based on a hermeneutical reading of the issues pertaioning to arts and Sudanese identity in his thought in accordanace with the TawÍÊdic exegetical method al-Turabi has articulated in the introduction to his Qur’anic exegesis which covers two thirds of the Qur’an. In other words, this hermeneutical reading aspires to understand Turabi’s theses on art and Sudanese identity by comprehending the total methodic positions which he adopted and spelled out in most of his writings. Turabi has made clear his views on the relationship between religion and art whereby he sees both of them as having the symbolic representational ability to express the relationship between the finite human being and the realm of the transcendental and the absolute unseen in different forms and through variegated patterns. As for the question of Sudanese identity, Turabi dealt with it by looking into the dynamics of the coming of to the Sudan and by reflecting on the interaction of both Islam and the Arabic language with the indigenous linguistic and cultural components. Likewise, he sought to expound the meaning, making and manifestations of Sudanese idenetity within the universal ethos of Islam which constitutes a guiding universal principle in his TawÍÊdic approach. This reading draws upon a general and principal rule consisting of the need to connect the particular issues which Turabi treated on various occasions the totality of epistemological and methodological propositions on which he built his theses and in the light of which he developed his ideas and positions concerning many issues.

Abstrak

Esei ini membentangkan pandangan Hassan al-Turabi mengenai kedudukan seni dan identiti Sudan dalam usaha intelektualnya. Ia berdasarkan kepada tafsiran hermeneutik bertepatan dengan pemikiran kaedah takwil tawhidik beliau seperti yang terkandung dalam pengenalan kepada tafsiran al-Quran yang menjangkau dua pertiga al-Quran itu. Dalam erti kata lain, tafsiran hermeneutik ini bertujuan untuk memahami tesis Turabi mengenai seni dan identiti Sudan dengan memahami kedudukan metodik keseluruhan yang beliau pakai dan nyatakan dalam kebanyakan tulisannya. Turabi menjelaskan pandangan beliau mengenai hubungan antara agama dan seni di mana kedua-duanya mempunyai keupayaan simbolik untuk menyatakan hubungan antara manusia yang terbatas dengan alam rohani dan ghaib yang mutlak dengan bentuknya yang berbeza dan melalui corak yang berlainan. Dalam soal identiti Sudan, Turabi menilai isu tersebut dengan melihat kepada dinamiknya kedatangan Islam dan bahasa Arab ke Sudan dan ia mencerminkan interaksi antara komponen bahasa dan budaya orang asal. Begitu juga, beliau mencuba untuk menjelaskan makna, pembentukan dan manifestasi identiti Sudan dalam etos sejagat Islam yang menjadi suatu prinsip universal sebagai panduan dalam pendekatan Tawhidik beliau. Bacaan ini mengarah kepada peraturan umum dan prinsip asas yang terdiri daripada keperluan untuk menghubungkan isu-isu tertentu yang Turabi telah bincangkan beberapa kali di kebanyakan tempat berkaitan dengan asas epistemologi dan metodologi yang beliau sendiri dalam membina tesisnya, dan dari konteks tersebut beliau dapat membangunkan idea dan pandangan dalam banyak isu.
