Strategies for Achieving Food Security: A Study Based on Surah Yasin through Tafsir and Qiraat Analysis

Abstract

This study aims to highlight the Qur'anic approach to achieving food security through an interpretative and analytical study of Surah Ya-Sin, which is rich in divine guidance that contributes to building an integrated and food-secure society. The research is based on the premise that the Qur'an comprehensively addresses various aspects of life, including food security, which is one of the fundamental human necessities. The study employs both inductive and analytical methods to trace the verses that discuss food security and extract Qur'anic insights that guide its realization. The findings indicate that Surah Ya-Sin presents several key principles for achieving food security, including: reminding people of God's blessings and the importance of gratitude, reviving barren land and reclaiming it for agriculture, diligent work and continuous effort, and utilizing natural resources. The Surah highlights various divine blessings, such as water, plants, and fruits, reinforcing the necessity of gratitude for sustenance, as gratitude serves as a means for the increase and sustainability of blessings, Additionally, and the study reached: The importance of justice in food resource distribution: Surah Ya-Sin emphasizes the principle of fairness in distributing blessings, affirming that food security is not solely dependent on the abundance of resources but also on their just allocation and proper management to ensure equitable access for all members of society, without monopoly or waste, and The necessity of relying on Allah while taking necessary measures: The Surah underscores that effort and hard work are essential for earning a livelihood, but this does not contradict reliance on God and trust in Him. This highlights the balance between faith and effort in achieving food security.
