About the Journal
At-Tajdid is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by International Islamic University Malaysia. Established in 1997, it is recognized as the first refereed academic journal published in Arabic in Southeast Asia.
The journal is dedicated to advancing scholarly discourse in Islamic studies, with a strong emphasis on intellectual renewal and engagement with contemporary issues. It publishes original research, review articles, and scholarly analyses that integrate classical Islamic thought with modern challenges across disciplines.
Since 2024, At-Tajdid has adopted a bilingual format, publishing in both Arabic and English. It follows a biannual publication schedule (January and July) and maintains rigorous peer-review standards to ensure academic quality and integrity.
