IMPORTANT UPDATE ON REVIEW ARTICLE SUBMISSIONS

The Editorial Board of the IIUM Medical Journal Malaysia (IMJM) would like to inform all authors that the journal will no longer accept Scoping Review and Narrative Review manuscripts for submission, effective immediately.

IMJM will only accept review articles in the form of Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses, in line with the journal’s publication standards and focus on high-quality evidence-based research.

Authors are kindly advised to ensure that all future submissions comply with the journal’s accepted manuscript categories as outlined in the Author Guidelines. Submissions that fall outside these categories, including other types of review articles, will not be considered for peer review.

We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of our authors and contributors, and we thank you for your continued support of IMJM.
