Abstract

Abstract— the use of social media has raised concern on users’ ability to behave ethically in cyberspace. Handling various issues in social media lies in the person of using social media properly from the Islamic perspectives. This study consisted of a descriptive statistic that quantitatively describes the main features of quantitative data. A total of 250 respondents are shown as a sample and apply some measures that can describe a data set from values and the behavior of Maqasid Al-Shari‘Ah perspective in social media use to protect deen, life, intellect, lineage, privacy and property . There are two type of measure in data analysis such as measure of central tendency and measures of variability and desperation. The measure of central tendency includes mean, median and mode while measures of variability include the standard deviation, the minimum and maximum values of the variables, kurtosis and skewness.
