Double Blind Peer Review Process
The Journal of Architecture, Planning and Construction Management (JAPCM) follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure integrity, transparency, and academic quality in its publications.
Manuscript Submission and Initial Screening
All manuscripts are submitted online and first undergo an initial screening by the Editorial Secretariat to ensure compliance with the journal’s scope, formatting guidelines, and ethical requirements. A similarity check (Turnitin) is also conducted at this stage.
Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. The review is conducted under a double-blind system, where both author and reviewer identities are anonymized to maintain impartiality and fairness. Reviewers evaluate the originality, methodological rigor, theoretical contribution, clarity, and significance of the manuscript.
Decision Process
Based on reviewers’ reports, the Chief Editor makes the final decision, which may be:
-
Accept without revision
-
Accept with minor revisions
-
Revise and resubmit (major revisions)
-
Reject
Authors receiving revision requests must address reviewers’ comments and resubmit within the specified timeframe. A compliance check is then carried out to ensure all comments are adequately addressed before acceptance.
Final Stages
Once accepted, manuscripts undergo copyediting, proofreading, and formatting.
JAPCM does not guarantee acceptance or impose fixed review times, as each manuscript is given careful consideration to ensure fairness, academic integrity, and high-quality publication standards.
