Fees & Charges

Al-Shajarah is an open-access, Scopus- and WoS-indexed journal. The journal does not charge authors any submission or publication fees for its regular issues. All accepted articles in the biannual issues are published free of charge.

Special Issues

For special issues, publication charges apply as follows:

• Full volume (special issue): A fixed charge will be applied.

• Per chapter/article in a special issue: RM 1,000.

Authors or institutions submitting to a special issue are responsible for covering these charges upon acceptance.

There are no hidden costs. The journal does not impose charges for colour figures, tables, or supplementary materials in either regular or special issues.

Note

Al-Shajarah reserves the right to review and revise its fees and charges periodically in accordance with publication costs and sustainability requirements.
