Abstract

This viewpoint discusses the age of adolescence from an Islamic perspective. It is argued that from the Islamic perspective, a split liminality does not exist between physical maturity on the one side and mental and emotional maturity on the other side, as can be found in our contemporary societies. The example of teaching prayers serves as an example to illustrate how we should teach our children to become holistically mature.
