Abstract

This case study wants to raise the issue of television companies in Indonesia who are plagued by rumors of bankruptcy and taking massive job cuts. Bankruptcy rumors also appeared in one of the Twitter timelines owned by net citizens which was later clarified by the company, and this then appeared in some time on several social media as a form of concern for net citizens, including on Instagram, besides Twitter. On the other hand, there is news about the departure of the main official who is also the founder of this company, which then reinforces the issue that the company is in the arena of bankruptcy. Wisnutama, who is the founder of this television company, was highlighted by netizens playing an important role in increasing the issue of bankruptcy. And finally about the termination of employment, where reporting on the issue of termination of employment is only in online media whose origins are unknown, and this issue is then addressed by the company, that termination of employment exists but is not as reported.
