Abstract

Companies are frequently understaffed, which results in an overwhelming task for the employees. Employers often fail to notify their employers of the precise location, purpose, and time of their time off. This situation led to the need of establishing a policy regarding time-off that may help the company to manage the productivity level, however, to also be able in addressing employees happiness and welfare. In this case, the company will face numerous challenges, particularly when it comes to the Social Security Organization (SOCSO) and Employment Injury Scheme (EIS). Considering the new norms and challenges (WFH/WFA/mental health awareness), should existing policies (both internal & external) be reviewed?
