Author Guidelines
Thank you for considering the Journal of Photonics and Quantum Technologies (JPQTECH) for the publication of your research.
JPQTECH is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing the frontiers of photonics and quantum technologies. The journal serves as a platform for the dissemination of high-quality research that contributes to both the fundamental understanding and technological development of these rapidly evolving fields.
We welcome submissions from researchers, academics, industry professionals, and practitioners worldwide. Manuscripts should present original, scientifically rigorous work and be written with clarity and precision to ensure accessibility to the broader scientific community.

Types of Manuscripts
JPQTECH considers the following categories of submissions:

General Submission Requirements
Authors submitting manuscripts to JPQTECH should ensure that:
- The manuscript is original and has not been published previously.
- The manuscript is not under consideration by another journal.
- All authors have read and approved the submitted version.
- All individuals who have made substantial contributions have been appropriately acknowledged or listed as authors.
- Any potential conflicts of interest have been disclosed.
- The work complies with applicable ethical standards and institutional requirements.
- The manuscript has been prepared according to the journal's formatting requirements.
Manuscript Preparation
Authors are encouraged to prepare manuscripts using the official JPQTECH manuscript template.
A typical manuscript should contain the following sections where appropriate:
- Title
- Author names and affiliations
- Corresponding author information
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Introduction
- Materials and Methods (where applicable)
- Theory or Methodology (where applicable)

Manuscripts should be written in clear, concise English. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to have their manuscripts professionally proofread before submission.
Figures and Tables
Figures and tables should be of publication quality and presented clearly.
Authors should ensure that:
- Figures and tables are numbered consecutively.
- Each figure and table has a descriptive caption.
- All figures and tables are cited in the text.
- Symbols, notation, and units are used consistently throughout the manuscript.
- Images are submitted at sufficient resolution for high-quality online publication.
Mathematical Content
JPQTECH welcomes manuscripts containing substantial mathematical development where such treatment is essential to the scientific contribution.
Authors are encouraged to present mathematical derivations with sufficient detail to ensure clarity and reproducibility. Lengthy derivations that interrupt the flow of the manuscript may be placed in appendices or supplementary material where appropriate.
References
References should be complete, accurate, and formatted according to the journal's prescribed citation style.
Authors are encouraged to:
- Cite original sources whenever possible.
- Include Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) where available.
- Ensure that all references cited in the text appear in the reference list and vice versa.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools for language editing, grammar checking, or improving readability is permitted.
However:
- Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the submitted work.
- AI tools must not be listed as authors.
- Any substantial use of AI in manuscript preparation should be disclosed appropriately within the manuscript.
The use of AI-generated data, images, or scientific content without appropriate verification is not acceptable.
Peer Review Process
All manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability for JPQTECH.
Submissions that fall within the journal's scope and satisfy the required quality standards are subjected to double-blind peer review by independent experts in the relevant field.
Editorial decisions are based on the originality, scientific quality, technical soundness, significance, and clarity of the submitted work.
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection after considering reviewers' recommendations.
Publication Ethics
JPQTECH is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and research integrity.
The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, image manipulation, or any other form of scientific misconduct.
Submitted manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism detection software before entering peer review.
Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to adhere to internationally accepted principles of ethical scholarly publishing.
