Ahmad Fakhrurrazi Bin Ahmad Noorden is an Associate Professor and the Head of the Department at the Kulliyyah of Science, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 2015, building a strong academic foundation in industrial physics and optoelectronics. Before transitioning to his academic tenure, Dr. Ahmad Fakhrurrazi gained critical industry experience as a Senior Optical Engineer at OSRAM Optosemiconductor Co., where he specialized in LED lens design and electro-optics LED chip simulation. As a dedicated researcher and principal investigator for multiple national and private grants, his primary research expertise spans the simulation and optimization of 3D epitaxial LED chip designs, all-optical microring resonator sensors, and semiconductor physics. His substantial contributions to the field are reflected in a robust portfolio of publications across reputable journals, including Scientific Reports, Optical Engineering, and the Journal of Electronic Materials. Bringing a unique blend of academic leadership, industry-applied engineering, and rigorous research experience to his role as Editorial Board member, Dr. Ahmad Fakhrurrazi is well-equipped to guide and elevate high-impact scientific discourse in optoelectronics and computational physics.

Yung Szen Yap, University of Technology Malaysia

Yap Yung Szen is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Science at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He began working on electron-spin quantum computing in 2009 at the Graduate School of Engineering Science, The University of Osaka (UOsaka), where he earned his PhD in 2013 and now serves as a Specially Appointed Associate Professor at the Center for Quantum Information and Quantum Biology (QIQB). In 2018, he expanded his research to superconducting quantum computers at Singapore’s Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT). This work later formed the foundation of AQSolotl Pte. Ltd., which he co-founded and serves as Chief Technology Officer. In 2025, he was selected as one of the Quantum 100 for the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ2025) organized by UNESCO. His expertise spans the development and control of electron-spin and superconducting qubits, microwave control systems, and quantum experiments conducted at millikelvin temperatures.
