Cue To deception in Islamic Websites Text-Based Content and Design: Systematic Literature Review
Abstract
Deception in a virtual environment is widely spread, especially in Islamic websites medium. This paper presents the current evidence relative to the investigation of cues to deception in websites text-based content and design. To obtain the objective of this study, systematic literature review (SLR) has been applied as a method. Systematic literature reviews provide review summaries of what has been written and establish out about research areas and topics. The findings from the systematic literature review (SLR), includes a set of 12 primary studies out of 625 extracted papers and 15 cues were retrieved. The cues are divided into two components (text-based content, design), 9 cues are from the text-bases content with 60% of the overall cues, whereas design have 6 cues with 40% of the overall cues. Most of the cues from text-based content are related to the use of fake and weak Hadith, while the cues from the design are related to the uncertain appearance and poor design of the Islamic websites.
