Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

  • The submitted article should not have been submitted for publication or published before or considered for publication.
  • It should provide an original contribution to the field of Islamic banking and finance
  • The article must be written in grammatically sound and lucid prose, and follow the methodology of research used in the field of Islamic banking and finance
  • Article submitted will be first vetted by the editorial team the submitted to 2 reviewers in the field.
  • Article must consist of Abstract in English and Arabic about 150-250 words.
  • Author should provide 3-5 keywords in both English and Arabic.
  • Articles should be between 4000-8000 words including references, appendices, charts etc.
  • Articles should be written in Microsoft Word format using Traditional Arabic font with font size 16 for the content and 14 for the footnote (if any). If the article contains English words, it must be written using Times new roman font with font size 12 for the content and 10 for the footnote (if any). single line spacing must be used.
  • The first page of the article should provide the full name of the author(s), email and affiliations.
  • If the paper contains Quranic verses, they must be put in parenthesis (--). The name of the surah and verse numbers must be placed in square brackets, e.g. [al-Baqarah: 100].
  • If the paper contains hadiths, they must be placed inside double brackets ((---)).
  • For the reference list, transliteration of Arabic titles must be provided using Times New Roman.
  • Any appendices must be placed after the reference list.
  • The paper must follow the APA style of citation.
  • The researcher must amend the paper based on the reviewers’ remarks and suggestions.
  • Any paper contains plagiarism will be rejected.
  • Title, authors, abstract, keywords and references in English/Roman script, as required for Indexation.
