Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The manuscript must not have been previously published and should not be under consideration by another journal. If there are any exceptions to this rule, please provide a detailed explanation in the "Comments to the Editor" section.
  • The submission must use the JoCTH Template and the file should be in Word file (.docx/.doc) with approximately 5000–8000 words.
  • The submission consist of
    1. The full paper
    2. The blind paper (upload a snippet of the manuscript title without the author(s) name)
    3. Plagiarism detection (e.g. Turnitin) report and Proofread (e.g. Grammarly) evidence

Author Guidelines

Authors are requested to use British English throughout the manuscript. Please use this Journal Article Template here. Reviewer checklist is also provided for your perusal.

The submission fee is RM100 for one submission. However, the fee is only RM50 per submission if there is an international or industry authorship in the article’s affiliation.

Payment Instructions

  • Payment is required upon acceptance of manuscript, which is non-refundable.
  • The review is not guaranteed until full payment is made.
  • Payment is complete only after fee and proof of payment are submitted in this form, CLICK HERE.

For authors (via IIUM EzPay Payment (Click Here), follow the following steps:

  1. Fill in the payer’s information in the payment details form.
  2. Specify the correct payment amount. 
  3. Select your payment method. Types of payment accepted:
    • FPX – Financial Process Exchange (Savings / Current / Credit Card)
    • E-Wallet (Boost / GrabPay / Touch n Go eWallet / ShopeePay)
    • Credit Card for International card issuer.
  4. Complete the payment by following instructions on your screen.
  5. Write in the "Reference" payment : "JoCTH <YOUR FIRST NAME> ". Example: Your name is Aisyah, so reference would be "JoCTH AISYAH"
  6. Upload the payment receipt in this form.
  7. Complete ✅
