International Medical Journal Malaysia

The International Medical Journal Malaysia is the official journal of the Kulliyyah (Faculty) of Medicine, International Islamic University Malaysia. It serves primarily as a forum for education and intellectual discourse for health professionals namely in clinical medicine but covers diverse issues relating to medical ethics, professionalism as well as medical developments and research in basic medical sciences. It also serves the unique purpose of highlighting issues and research pertaining to the Muslim world. Contributions to the IMJM reflect its international and multidisciplinary readership and include current thinking across a range of specialties, ethnicities and societies.

Asiatic: IIUM Journal of English Language and Literature

Asiatic is the very first international journal on Asian Englishes and English writings by Asian and Asian diasporic writers, currently being the only one of its kind. It aims to publish high-quality research articles and outstanding creative works combining the broad fields of literature and linguistics within its focus area.

Intellectual Discourse

Intellectual Discourse is a multi-disciplinary, flagship journal of the International Islamic University Malaysia. First published in 1993, it is dedicated to the scholarly study of all aspects of Islam and the Muslim world. Particular attention is paid to works dealing with history, geography, political science, economics, education, psychology, sociology, law, literature, religion, philosophy, international relations, environmental and developmental issues. The journal is international in its range and coverage. It is intended to be a forum for scholarly dialogue and communication on issues related to Islam and the Muslim world.

Journal of Islam in Asia

The Journal of Islam in Asia is published by the International Islamic University Malaysia. It is a refereed International Arabic-English biannual Journal. The Journal includes articles, selected studies, book reviews, reports of conferences etc., which are relevant to Islamic thought and Muslim concerns. The Journal sees itself as an instrument, and an extension, to promote the IIUM’s mission of (IIICE); Integration, Islamicization, Internationalization and Comprehensive Excellence. The Editorial Board invites scholars and researchers to submit contributions to the Secretariat of the Journal.

IIUM Engineering Journal

The IIUM Engineering Journal (IIUM EJ), published biannually, is a carefully refereed international publication of International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Contributions of high technical merit are to span the breadth of engineering disciplines; covering the main areas of engineering: Electrical and Computer Engineering; Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering; Automation and Mechatronics Engineering; Material and Chemical Engineering; Environmental and Civil Engineering; Biotechnology and Bioengineering; Engineering Mathematics and Physics; and Computer Science and Information Technology. Contributions from other areas of Engineering and Applied Science are also welcomed. The IIUM Engineering Journal publishes contributions under Regular papers, Invited review papers, Short communications, Technical notes, and Letters to the editor (no page charge). Book reviews, reports of and/or call for papers of conferences, symposia and meetings, and advances in research equipment could also be published in IIUM Engineering Journal with minimum charges.

IIUM Law Journal

IIUM Law Journal is a refereed journal that focuses on issues relating to both Civil and Shari ‘a Law. The Journal permits the exchange of ideas and information about legal development relating to Civil and Shari ‘a Law. It is interdisciplinary and comparative. Legal perspective is supplied by academicians, practitioners and other Muslim scholars.

The theme of the journal is the interdisciplinary and comparative approach to an area burgeoning interest in both disciplines of law and practice.

International Journal of Economics, Management and Accounting

The International Journal of Economics, Management and Accounting formerly known as the IIUM Journal of Economics and Management (JEM) is an internationally refereed journal published twice yearly by the Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences, International Islamic University, Malaysia. In line with the objectives of the Kulliyyah and the University, the Journal is dedicated to the development, promotion and understanding of Islamic Economics in its widest sense, including issues related to management and accounting, in order to keep scholars and relevant institutions informed on research in the field of Islamic Economics.

Based on the Islamic worldview concerning God, man, nature and the concept and purpose of religion, this Journal promotes the idea that economic activity cannot, but be a part of, and must be guided and developed within the twin epistemological foundations of revelation and reason. In the Islamic worldview, the former portrays the ultimate foundation of, while the latter acknowledges the intellect of man irrespective of religion or color. While acknowledging the great strides in conventional economics, the Journal is committed to the idea that ultimate solutions to human problems cannot be sought without reference to revelation and the Divine.

Journal of Islamic Finance

Journal of Islamic Finance (JIF) is an official publication of IIUM Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance (IIiBF), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).

The journal is designed to provide a forum or platform for researchers/academicians and practitioners who are interested in new knowledge and in discussing ideas, issues and challenges in the field of Islamic finance, banking, accounting, business and economics.

The scope or coverage of the journal will include but are not limited to: Islamic banking, Islamic capital markets, Islamic wealth management, Issues on shariah implementation/practices of Islamic banking, zakat and awqaf, takaful, and comparative analysis of Islamic and conventional financial institutions. The journal is published biannually in September and March and all articles submitted are in English. Journal of Islamic Finance (JIF) is a new journal and has not been tracked for long enough to be listed in indexing services and directories. As a minimum requirement, a few issues must have been published before suggesting a journal to the major agencies.
