  • Journal of Tawḥīdic Epistemology and Integration of Knowledge

    There is no conflict among different fields of study in Islamic civilization, whether in the natural or social sciences, as all are grounded in a tawḥīdic epistemology (TE). Similarly, there is no dichotomy between science and religion as found in scholarship grounded in an atheistic worldview. Hence, tawḥīdic epistemology (TE), as the anchoring concept, enables these different fields to be integrated with one another in scholarly research. Therefore, there is a vital need for IIUM to establish such a journal, as TE constitutes the pivotal theoretical framework for scholarly discourse at the University. As a result, all research endeavours can become ʿibādah (acts of worship) performed for the sake of Allah. In pursuit of such sacred knowledge endeavours, JTEIK will serve as a platform for intellectual discourse on TE and the integration of knowledge, both of which have become central to the ethos of the University.

    1. Objectives

    The objectives of JTEIK are to:

    1. To elaborate on the concept and/or sub-concepts of TE.
    2. To provide the platform for publication of double-blind peer reviewed articles in TE and integration of knowledge.

    iii. To promote TE and integration of knowledge as the intellectual discourse of the University - among academics, administrators and students.  

    1. To highlight the Integration of Knowledge (IOK) aspects e.g. the conceptual/theoretical and the applied aspects into all disciplines; manifesting ummatic excellence.
    2. To serve as an avenue to present IIUM as a “living lab” i.e. showcasing efforts to develop conceptual, theoretical and applied aspects of TE and IOK in the IIUM itself.
    3. To become a reference for other academics throughout the world on the subject matter.
    1. Coverage

    The areas of coverage of JTEIK include:*

    1. Social Sciences (philosophy, political science, language, history, economics, law, education, architecture, etc.).
    2. Islamic Revealed Knowledge (Qur’an and Sunnah, Islamic Metaphysics, Usul al-Fiqh, Usul al-Din, etc.).

    iii. Natural Sciences (physics, biology, chemistry, medicine, nursing, mathematics, cosmology, etc.).

    1. Technology (engineering, information technology, computer science, artificial intelligence, robotics, etc.).

    * All existing categories of knowledge/disciplines and potentially interdisciplinary or new transdisciplinary bodies of knowledge. 

     

  • International Journal on Integration of Knowledge

    International Journal on Integration of Knowledge aims to promote excellence by providing avenues for academics and professional to publish current and significant research in the integration of knowledge that test, extends, or build theories.   This multidisciplinary journal considers review and research articles related to Social Sciences and Humanities, Science and Technology, Health and Life Science, Finance and Commerce, and Language and Literature. IJIoK accepts submissions from all fields and from any source for both fundamental and applied investigations related to Integration of Knowledge with peer-review ensuring high quality articles.

    To provide a high-quality platform for regular issues that support collaboration between institutions, organizations and communities in multi-disciplinary areas of knowledge for the betterment of humanities.

    To attract professionals and academia from around the world from a wide range of disciplines to contribute to contemporary issues in the integration of knowledge

    Area

    The domain of study will integrate the latest emerging research in all fields of Islamization of Knowledge; Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, ICTs, and Design Sciences. This journal will focus on publishing contemporary issues related to the topics of keeping the integration of knowledge in various disciplines.
