It embodies the characteristics of its people, preserves its features, confirms its origin, represents their sufferings and visions. This study strives to present a critical approach to the structural form of mythical folklore story in the Arabian peninsular from the aspects of contents, structures, forms in accordance to its social context. This is in order to discover the elements of creativity in the tradition of the Arabian Peninsular on one hand, and to study its content of cultural input historically, educationally and psychologically on the other hand. The study comes in two aspects; theoretical and applied. The former discusses the reality of folklore and mythical studies in literary critic along with the discussion on its various concepts as viewed by the pioneers such as Brob Grimace; the latter will tend to the structural form for mythical folklore story in the Arabian peninsular tradition and the sequencing system in it in addition to the aesthetical criteria, the cultural and educational contents. The study later on, presents general rules and functions to structural writing of myth with the input form the analytical descriptive method and the studies on structuralism. It concludes with the civilizational importance of such a genre as a teaching tool that exercises textual authority on the recipient of the folklore culture that would enriching its semantic elements and diversifying its inner structure.</p><p><strong>Keywords</strong>: Mythical folklore, <em>al-Suʽlāh</em> (female ghostly creature), structure, formation rules, sequencing.</p> ER -
