Al-Itqan: Journal of Islamic Sciences and Comparative Studies is an academic, a peer- reviewed and bilingual (English and Arabic) online and free accessed journal, published twice yearly (June and December), by the Department of Usuluddin and Comparative Religion, Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences, International Islamic University of Malaysia. It publishes original articles, research reports, case studies and book reviews on diverse topics related to issues, problems and developments of Islamic thought, Comparative religion, Philosophy, Social sciences, the Arts and Humanities and other related areas.
OBJECTIVES AND SCOPES:
The aim of this journal is to provide a channel for academic staff as researchers and practitioners to share and discuss ideas, theories, views, research results on issues related to Islamic thought, Comparative religion, Philosophy, Social sciences, the Arts and Humanities. The journal also serves as platform for researchers and academics to share their original findings, new ideas, and expertise in the field leading towards an integration of Islamic revealed knowledge and Human Sciences. The journal will also provide readers with a proper understanding on the issues discussed.

All manuscripts submitted to this Journal must represent original work by the author(s). None of the material should be covered by any copyright; if copyrighted material exceeds approximately 100 words from a journal article or approximately 500 words from a book, the author should obtain prior written permission from the orginal author or the publisher for its use. Moreover, the submitted work should not infringe any intellectual property rights/secrecy laws of any person/organization/government/public or private agency, or should not contain any defamatory material.
IIUM Press or the Journal’s editorial board does not bear any responsibility for verifying copyright permissions provided by the author. Any breach of copyright laws will result in retraction of the published manuscript as well as reporting to relevant authorities in the author’s institution.
Al-Itqan: Journal of Islamic Sciences and Comparative Studies uses the Turnitin software to screen manuscripts for any unoriginal material. By submitting the manuscript to the Journal, the author agrees to any necessary originality checks that the manuscript may have to undergo during the evaluation or the production process.
