Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

  1. Manuscript article can be either in English, Malay or Arabic using software Microsoft office (Word, and Excel), Font 12 Times New Roman. Only tables,figures and appendix can be written using Font 10, Times New Roman.
  2. If there is a usage of Quranic verses or Hadith fom Prophet P.B.U.H. , it only needs to be done by translation only.
  3. The manuscript should be in 1.5 single spacing and justified, with the margin of 2.5cm.
  4. Article needs to have a title and author’s name and second author’s name along with the full address (institution’s or university’s address, e-mail, handphone’s number, office’s number, fax together with the second author’s details).
  5. Every article must include an `abstract in Malay and English. The length of the abstract is no more than 150 words including 5 keywords.
  6. The length of each article must not exceed 6000 words.
  7. The arabic words in manuscript should be in a transliterated form.
  8. Reference for each article must be written according to American Psychologist Association (APA) Can refer to the website:http://www.apa.org/journal/fag.html
  9. Notification Letter :
  10. Letter of Acceptance – editorial board will send an e-mail to the author to notify that the manuscript is received.
  11. Letter of Acceptance/Rejection for Publication – editorial board will send a letter by an e-mail to the author to notify if the manuscript judged by the panels is approved or declined to be published.
  12. Letter of Publication – editorial board will send a letter by e-mail to the author if the article has been judged, repaired, and corrected to be published in the college’s journal.
  13. Certificate of Appreciation– editorial board will send a certificate of appreciation by mail to the authors who have sent their articles.

 

TYPES OF ARTICLE IN JOURNAL

  1. Full Length Article

Also known as research article. Basically, this article includes Introduction, Methodology, Finding and Discussion, Conclusion and References. Below are few elements that need to be inserted into this empirical article:

  1. Introduction – argument made in existing literature context by providing imagesof significance of research or findings from aspect that fills on theory/knowledge/literature/methodology/existing professional knowledge/ potential to upgrade practise.
  2. Methodology – things that need to be discussed are the basic theory of selected design, selecting samples, construction of research instrument, also analysis method (qualitative, quantitative or combination of both).
  3. Findings and Discussion – author needs to conclude data by providing table/graft or theme where data is easily understood, most significant findingreport and relation to research question, also state the practical issue that exists/ comes up in collecting data like errors, trust based on research context.
  4. Conclusion–author need o state implication, significance and limitation of research collectively.

 

  1. Research Notes

Research Notes can also be knows as conceptual article. Conceptual article needs to show an established argument that answers one or more related question. Article starts with previous article review against selected topics and provide arguments, evidence and examples that proves author’s article against research questions. Author needs to take a subjective stand against issue/question that has been argued.

 

  1. Book Reviews

Author needs to review strengths and weaknesses by providing examples from the book that has been reviewed. Analyzed books need to use a concept and implications by providing future findings deeply. Book review covers:

  1. Title of the Book
  2. Author(s)
  3. Title of the Article
  4. Series/ Volume (if any)
  5. Publisher
  6. Country and State
  7. Year of Publication
  8. No of Pages
  9. Price
  10. ISBN
